Fully support the good work of our local authorities, and think it is ok to have a wider regional area, hopefully reducing the amount of upper management staff.
Also there should be gains in sharing research and best practices for the larger area.
This would be more “clinical” in best practice vs the political boards existing now.
I do feel thought that these saving should mean that the province should be the payer, and not municipalities, particularly the small rural, who have no tax base.
The province benefits from the good work of the conservation area, in parks, water etc are huge and they should look after it, and pay for it. Time to remove the politics and be scientists.
