The north is unique, its topography, geology, geography, terrain, trees, animals, water systems, and weather. The distances are vast. Come visit us by car some time and you'll begin to understand. It would be foolish, dangerous, absurd, and detrimental to join the north with a southern region. Time will not be saved. Many explanations would have to be repeated, many explanations about the specifics of the northern region would have to be considered, wasting time. Those in the north know the north. Let them pay attention to the north. Centralization may make sense in Southern Ontario where places are near to each other and similar but this is not at all the case in Northern Ontario.
