Bigger is not always better or cheaper. I believe smaller conservation authorities like we have now are more in tune with the local conditions/problems/and needs of the populations they serve. I do not want to see any consolidation taking place. It was not a universal improvement when municipalities were forced to do that years ago and I believe the Ont. government should not be changing the status quo. Look what happened with public school boards. They only serve the bigger cities and small and rural communities have virtually no say. If it isn't broke don't try to impose a "Toronto" solution to a problem that doesn't exist.
