This proposal to amalgamate conservation authorities is deeply concerning and should not go through. Each conservation authority has region specific knowledge and the staff are experts on the land. Their role is to PROTECT our water…there is nothing more important than that. If you want your cottage to sit on a beautiful lake erupting in algae blooms, go ahead. See how that works out. There is no one size fits all approach to a province with THIS MUCH WATER! I e are so fortunate to have this as a resource. The envy of the world. It would be the work of the worst government in history to NOT do everything possible to protect it. This is a terrible idea.
