As a resident of the Municipality of Neebing, I am opposed to the provinces proposal of merging, the Lakehead Region Conservation Authority with other Southern Ontario conservation authorities. I solely agree with the LRCA that we need to be a stand-alone conservation authority up here in the north. As we are severely underrepresented in this area. It makes no sense to amalgamate groups when the distance is so vast and we are facing different situations than Southern Ontario. The importance of the LRCA is unmeasurable and it will be a huge hindrance and very worrisome as to what this area will look like without their guidance, expertise, authority, and general help.
