Our conservation areas are distinct to NWO and need our communities to be its custodian . The amalgamation with Huron is short sighted, we will become absorbed and lost . LRCA should remain a stand alone entity as it is many biologically diverse lands distinct to our area. A loss of control to the southern part of this province is narrow minded and only done for dollars. From a human perspective it could mean a loss of directors and employees through down sizing which is unfair to our region and these dedicated people…. All for a couple dollars . Protecting biodiverse areas requires many people and many voices with a specific focus , not just a generalized board that votes or directs without actually having its feet on the ground they are trying to protect.I firmly oppose this amalgamation proposal/bill for the LRCA.
