This proposal illustrates a complete lack of consideration and understanding for how removed Northwestern and Southern Ontario are from eachother. Northwestern Ontario needs it's own resources and more of them as far as environmental work goes. Very disappointed in the politicians who are pushing this through.
This kind of proposal makes it seem as though the policy makers responsible for it have never actually looked at a scaled map to understand how far away NWO is from Toronto or even Sudbury. We have enough landmass north of Sudbury to constitute our own province in need of it's own set of resources and policies.
