I purchased the annual pass for the Lakehead Region Conservation Authority for the past 5 years. I am against the merger with The Huron Conservation Authority. That is too large an area to be under one Conservation Authority. Most people I know from Southern Ontario would be challenged to find Thunder Bay on a map. I have a daughter who has lived in Barrie these past 12 years. People from this area should not have a say on how our area water is managed. We have a very different climate and thus different natural shoreline vegetation. This should be managed by our local Authority.
