Please reconsider amalgamating the Conservation areas into less, much bigger ones. We have seen in the past that whenever things (municipalities, etc.) get amalgamated, there is loss of services, especially to rural areas. Our rural area (Quinte Conservation) covers many waterways and is very important to the good governance of the area.
If your wish is to equalize policies, standards, fees and levels of staffing and technical capabilities, then do so, without cutting back on services to rural areas. Merging these CAs is just another excuse to make things easier for the government to cut through all the red tape and eliminate any ecological reasons for not developing an area. Please save our natural Ontario.
