I'm opposed to the consolidation of conservation authorities. I'm keenly aware of Conservation Authorities (CA) and their role in protecting us from natural hazards, protecting water quality, and preserving wild spaces. Conservation Authorities were not meaningfully consulted on the merge from 36 to 7 CAs. No cost analysis has been provided, different methods exist to standardize the permitting process, and it is possible that rural regions will be impacted more than others. Please reconsider this decision.
