The Lakehead Regional Conservation Authority's work is essential for watershed and waterway protection and conservation in and around the Thunder Bay Region. This cannot be effectively managed from a site approx. 1500kms away. The amalgamation proposed is illogical and insulting to the community and all the collaborative work being done in this region with remediation, industry and Indigenous communities and groups. Leave the LRCA off the amalgamation proposal and keep the (already insufficient) funding in tact so we can protect the watershed/ways that are vital to the health and well-being of our region.
