As our province is larger than many countries, it seems ridiculous to shrink our conservation authorities. It seems like a steady attack on our stewardship groups has been going on for the simple purpose of expediting development... was Hurricane Hazel so long ago that we have forgotten it's lessons? We need more boots on the ground, not less. This government is no friend to either our environment or the public at large, regardless of political posturing... the proof is in the myriad of policy designed to favour large developers and erase large swaths of our natural heritage.
