I m not in support of this proposal to condense Ontario Conservation authorities to 7. In particular, the northern amalgamations will not serve the vast variations within those geographies by centralizing decision making given those areas will be far removed from their catchment and be unable to understand local nuances. This would in effect, increase permit turnarounds by adding layers of bureaucracy.
I question the rational and feel this is an overreach. Please do not pass this and leave our current system in place.
