I am strongly opposed to the province ramming through an -ill-thought out mega-density condo building project. Where is the regard for sustainable development and the impacts on livability, quality of life for residents, and infrastructure? This smacks of the usual Ford government bias towards developers and profits over the real needs, concerns, and informed input of communities and experts, whose intelligent advice is regularly ignored. We have been watching this for years and are tired of it. We need affordable housing but not 59 storey buildings in midtown! What about traffic? Oakville roads and neighbourhoods cannot handle the amount of traffic, and randomly throwing up skyscrapers in our town is not what this community needs. We need affordable & liveable apartments, not a concrete jungle. Please do not push this particular urban project through. The current condo market also needs to be considered.
