I have always thought this proposal is too dense for our town of Oakville. The height of the towers are out of total context with our surrounding town. Aside from all of that the extra traffic will cause chaos to our streets. Also how are you going to address all the infrastructure to accomadate all these extra dwellings? Such as water, waste disposal, electirc grid etc. We have already had problems with trying to accomadate extra drain on our town services regarding electric situations. We had a few very long power outages because of the extra drain on existing systems because of the building at Kerr and Speers on the Northeast cornor. Kept blowing our underground electric vaults until they totally upgraded it after the fact. Our building was without power two or three times in quick succession for a period of over 10 hours each time one summer because of that. How are you going to maintain opimal services for the existing residences who have already been here for years with the proposed heights of these towers? I am sure a much more sensible plan could have been done. I get that it is all about progress but it will be at the expense of residents already here and of course our open spaces around the creeks.
