The Lakehead Regional Conservation Authority is well run and is already providing permits in the required timelines. It is responsive to the cities, developers and residents. Merging it with a different conservation authority in southern Ontario that looks after a completely different ecosystem makes no sense.
I want to see Lakehead Regional Conservation Authority remain independent.
I do not support this bill in its current form.
