This is not a good idea in any way. Any one who actually lives in Oakville knows that over the years it has become increasingly busy with people and traffic. The traffic is already bad in the proposed area of the new development and adding in thousands of more residents with no increased road ways is going to cause even more problems. We've already went through this when the land past Sixth Line was "never going to be developed" and was going to "protected" because it was green space and now there are thousands of houses and more residents that have created more traffic and lack of green space. Every Oakville resident I have talked to is strongly against this development and operating under the notion to "leave well enough alone". Not every piece of land in our town needs to be developed, especially with towers that do not at all match the aesthetic or feeling of Oakville. If you keep developing for the sake of developing the town itself will lose what makes it special and become so busy that people who have lived here their whole lives will no longer want to stay. This has already happened with many people I know because they say "it is not the town they knew".
