The proposal is far too dense for this area. The surrounding infrastructure simply can’t support more than 6,000 new units. Traffic is already a serious challenge around Trafalgar and the QEW, and the bottleneck where the QEW merges into the 403 near the Upper Middle and Dundas exits is only getting worse.
It isn’t realistic to assume future residents will rely primarily on public transit. Most will have at least one vehicle, if not two, which will add even more pressure to an already strained road network.
