As a lifelong inhabitant of the Hamilton area, and frequent user of land maintained by the Hamilton Conservation Authority (HCA), I agree with HCA’s submission to the ERO. I am very concerned about losing local decision-making and I support keeping conservation decisions rooted in our community.
I think merging so many local conservation authorities into larger entities is a terrible idea and urge the Ontario government to rethink this plan.
