HCA already protects over 10,000 acres of vital green space, manages a 570 km² watershed, and keeps our communities safe from flooding - all with local oversight and accountability. Consolidating HCA into a massive regional entity risks diluting the local voice that ensures our unique environment, safety, and recreation needs are protected. We should not gamble with decades-long stewardship by turning it over to distant bureaucracy.
