I strongly agree with the basis of Hamilton CA’s objection to the plan. There is no justification for "consolidating" Conservation Authorities as proposed, unless it is to weaken the effectiveness of each of the existing CAs. CAs need to be based around individual watersheds, and water management is far too important to be hived off to authorities many of whose representatives will have no local stake in managing a specific watershed. It makes sense to have conservation decisions rooted in the community that they currently serve.
