Conservation should be our top priority as a province. The province should not have a say in how the municipalities want to run their programs. The municipalities are closest to it and should have full management of the strategies and programs, not the province who clearly does not appreciate the importance of conservation (specifically the Ford government).
With the cost of living at a record high the one area which we all have access to escape and enjoy some peace is our green space… this should never be sacrificed, the current conservation initiatives and policies are what have made Ontario beautiful.
Ontario can put forth this idea but without a unanimous vote from each municipality it must be shelved.
You can’t have a province in charge of 20million people having direct authority over established programs representing 2.8million people. Our voice needs to be heard.
