I am a landowner and a representative of many landowners in Elgin County. I have been devastated by the local conservation Authority in my area, I live in central Elgin. I was lied to. I spent 120g on engineers reports I was told to get to get my permit. Then denied my permit.
These people lie and are deceitful. They do not know their authority and use lawyers to fight landowners.
Get rid of all conservation authorities.
The movement to get rid of them came really close in getting it done, 4 or 5 years ago. It's time.
They are not worth the price. Pull off the bandaid and regroup. Cut the cord. It's time.
People are tired of being abused, lied to, and treated like second class for just trying to protect their properties.
Please, Please, no organization should run free and abusive citizens like these groups do.
