I believe it is extremely fundamentally irresponsible to attempt to consolidate so many square kilometers of land, containing dozens of unique environments and ecodistricts, into 7 province-wide zones. This robs local municipalities and offices from maintaining their own unique ecodistricts in meaningful, educated ways. It robs local authorities, with actual experience and education about their unique locations, of the power to effectively maintain and care for their regions. It is extremely irresponsible to think that someone in Owen Sound or Barrie knows how to properly, respectfully, and effectively handle environmental and conservation concerns across the province in Thunder Bay. The areas proposed to be consolidated under one jurisdiction is far too vast and varied to make any conservation efforts under it effective in any way. There are better ways to achieve your goals, provided they are rooted in actual, effective conservation efforts. This proposal is dangerous and disruptive and will prevent those with real experience and knowledge from acting quickly and effectively to best care for and maintain our province.
