This is a terrible idea for overseeing conservation of resources in Ontario! Too many cooks stirring the soup. Every area of Ontario has unique needs and unique issues to oversee concerning conservation, and this means separate councils of experts and those working in conservation are needed who really understand the issues of that particular region. One size does NOT fit all! This issue reminds me of Queen's Park tendency in working with Ontario school teachers to "stack em deep, teach em cheap" when it comes to policy concerning class sizes, etc. This sounds to me and many others who respect and are concerned about Ontario's environmental issues like Queen's Park is also trying to cut corners concerning salaries of resource officials and just go through the motions when it comes to protecting our environment.

Please keep the present areas of conservation in the province of Ontario, and really listen to what needs to be done to keep the province's water, soil and air clean and wildlife, waterlife healthy for us and future generations to protect and enjoy. We in Ontario have unique water, forest, agriculture land resources, and the expertise of every council of advisors in Ontario's conservation areas are needed to administer properly every conservation area, taking differences into account. Again, ONE SIZE DOES NOT FIT ALL!

I am open to being contacted concerning this matter. I am from the Thames Valley Conservation Authority, and I feel the needs of the distinct environment in the area is being served just fine with the existing administration structure. I am getting quite concerned about Queen's Park just wanting to "go through the motions" with regard to protecting Ontario's environment. Those "Ring of Fire" commercials you are flooding the T.V. stations with lately don't mention about protecting the environment - just "drill, baby, drill". I wonder why.
