I vehemently opposed the proposed plan to consolidate Ontario's conservation authorities. Local conservation authorities have the knowledge, expertise, and understanding of what local communities want and need. They are the ones that will advocate for and protect our watersheds, forests, woods, wetlands, shorelines, parks, wildlife sanctuaries, hiking trails and campgrounds because they know the area! What is needed and appropriate for Goderich is radically different from Thunder Bay or Barrie. Our local conservation authorities are treasures. Please leave them be!
