At this point, we personally and professionally can see very little benefit to this consolidation plan. We are concerned that we will not see improved permitting services, that our local voice will be lost, along with a concern on the future management of the assets that our local C.A.'s currently manage.

With a very small portion of Provincial funding (in comparison to the Municipality's) this proposal seems like it will severely diminish the working relationships local Municipalities have with their C.A.'s, who's funding is significantly more than the Province's. It can be difficult to see how this would improve any measurable performance.

In our business, we work with various C.A.'s. We would appreciate a standardization of permitting processes (the process itself and the timelines to be expected) between all the C.A's.
Otherwise, we have appreciated having representatives come to our work sites to discuss and advise on erosion issues. They have knowledge of generations of history on the parcels that we work on. We are not confident that we would receive the same support from a larger regional agency.

We support the Upper Thames River C.A.'s response to this proposal and agree with all of their points made.
