This is a pointless and short-sighted proposal to our Conservation authorities that amounts to change for the sake of change. There will be no financial benefit to the Ontario tax payer. In fact, there is likely to be a negative impact on the watersheds and green spaces that so many Ontarians enjoy. There is currently no argument or evidence from the Ontario government that demonstrates that the new model will have any benefit to the natural assets that we should be protecting. Particularly, areas that have high environmental sensitivity. I do not support this change without clear evidence of its benefit.
