As a resident of Thunder Bay, I'm very opposed to the proposed shuttering of the Lakehead Regional Conservation Authority LRCA via amalgamation with six southern Ontario conservation authorities to create a "Huron- Superior regional conservation authority". We are 1500 km and a great lake away from the proposed location to manage my local regional watershed, with it's distinct climate and location.
It should stand alone due to distance and difference of geography from the other authorities.
