I DO NOT support the plan to consolidate the conservation authorities. This is the wrong decision to help protect our watersheds.
Each water system has an individual and complex set of needs that needs the local conservation authority IN PLACE to help protect the environment. To consolidate the authorities would be a gross disservice to the people, and the land that is local to them.
We the people are tired of the government looking for ways to cut corners. Stop trying to destroy systems in place in the name of “efficiency”. It is not efficient. It will destroy local watersheds and let needs specific to each area fall through the cracks.
We cannot afford to let any more of Ontario’s precious lands to be governed by less people. Things need to be MORE personal. MORE local. Leave things as they are.
Thank you.
