I am struggling to understand the logic behind combining the Lakehead region conservation authority with 72 communities in Southern Ontario. You do understand how far away our area is from the authorities in the south? Take a drive northwest along Lake Superior to fully understand the vastness. It makes much more sense to combine Lakehead with Northeastern Ontario. However, I do believe the distances between these warrant two separate authorities in northern Ontario. The needs of the areas represented are diverse and unique to the north. Please reconsider this ludicrous decision.
