Do not amalgamate the conservation authorities. Keeping the 36 regional authorities allows people to feel more connected to how the ecosystems are managed. They also do a better job at understanding the microclimates that make each ecosystem unique.
Sitting at Queens Park, I once heard a Conservative Party MPP say that you can’t spell “conservative” without “conserve”… I worry this amalgamation might taken away this very shaky pillar your party has to stand on.
Do not do this.
