There are many other places we could be making budget cuts - the environment is Canada’s greatest resource, and Ontario has a very complex situation - it’s the reason why there’s so much economic activity in the first place. Environmental diversity leads to complex river and lake structures, natural through ways in the landscape, a variety of agricultural conditions suitable to growing a wide range of food, and more benefits than I could list off in this comment. Merging these conservation groups is hurting future Canadians, there is no hope that these larger groups could make informed decisions about all the different niches under their jurisdiction, and great harm, both economically, culturally and socially with this law.
I plead you to actually read all these public comments for once. I please you instead of just cutting and cancelling things and tearing things down, to actually work on building long-term systems that will make Ontario better for our kids.
