In the last 3 years, you (our government) reviewed the species at risk act and altered it to amalgamate species over a larger geography, thereby diminishing protection in smaller demographies.
Now you are doing the same with the conservation authorities, dumbing down the ability of conservation experts to respond productively to our watersheds.
By amalgamating the conservation authorities from 38 districts into 7 units, you are weakening the agency of scientists and endangering the health of our local ecosystems, and by extension, the health of the people.
If you don’t understand what I’m talking about, I must question your scientific education.
I fear your next play is to fast track or eliminate the environmental assessment process, is the very last nail in the coffin.
