I am concerned about the power of the Provincial Government over the Conservation Authority. I don't think that their goals need to align as the current Provincial Government does not seem to be concerned enough about protecting the natural habitat of our province, which once it is gone it is gone and we don't always understand the importance of maintaining it and the natural wetlands.
What will happen to any land owned by a current Conservation Authority. Will it automatically be transferred to the new authority together with the history of any leased land and lease agreements?
