I DO NOT AGREE with the proposal. While mergers can be an excellent mechanism for improving efficiencies, this proposal raises major concerns. Local environmental and conservation efforts are far too nuanced and require a legitimate local presence. Other than possibly saving some money and creating a big and clunky enough organization that larger cost cuts will be easier to report, there isn't real evidence provided that shows there will be an actual benefit to the local environments, the whole reason these authorities exist. This appears to be a political move, not an actual move to improve the efficiencies of the local authorities.
