Watershed protection is extremely important for Ontario's ecological health, safety, erosion, and flood prevention. I feel that these protections need to remain managed within the local area. I do not think that (if the proposal passes) conservation authorities will have the bandwidth or local knowledge to effectively manage such large geographical areas.
