I do not support the amalgamation of conservation authorities and the creation of a provincial agency to oversee them. Conservation Ontario already serves this function and conservation authorities are supposed to be local watershed authorities that provide specific local watershed-based guidance and expertise that a regional CA will not be able to achieve. Renaming the Conservation Authorities is also a waste of money and will cause significant confusion across the province. TRCA should remain TRCA as it serves Toronto and the greater toronto area (GTA)
