Having had some involvement with our local CA, I find it perplexing that our Provincial Go. wants to re-organize a system that is and has performed well . Each Authority has been finely tuned to meet specific needs in their area of control.
CAs' are well financed, with a lot of Public support in the way of land and monetary donations, not to mention the support of their Charitable arms.
The governments contribution is minimal and their efforts in this case will only serve to impede the intent of Conservation Authorities across Ont.
