I am vehemently OPPOSED to the amalgamation of Ontario Conservation Authorities. Leave Niagara Peninsula Conservation Authority as it stands today. It is a trusted organization with local expertise - as are ALL conservation authorities province-wide. This current administration has ZERO regard for the environment. You SOLD ONTARIANS OUT to a privately-held shell corporation with no money or expertise in the wellness spa business. You allowed Therme Spa to bulldoze the publicly-owned Ontario Place lands WITHOUT environmental scrutiny & public consultation. Here's what family-friendly Ontario Place will become - $62 to swim in a saltwater pool or have a steam; facials start at $156; massages start at $188. All pricing taken from Therme Spa Village website. And now this government is in the process of stealing publicly-owned land from the City of Toronto for wellness spa PARKING. The same lands that are currently fully accessible by TTC. Your calculated appointment of a lawyer & former Solicitor General (with no environmental expertise on her resume) as your Deputy Premier is not lost on me. The Conservation Authorities Act was originally enacted in 1946 - leave it alone.
