I am very concerned about the province of ontarios downsizing of our amazing Conservation Authorities whom keep
Our small communities safe & be sure that any & every development is being fully investigated to be sure of its environmental impact on our communities, and surrounding green spaces. Housing is ongoing here in the Ottawa Valley & I see 1,000’s of houses being built & also apartment buildings. The apparent “housing crisis” is being blown out of proportion.
But today my main concern is the downsizing of our conservation authorities that have been there for approximately 80 years in this province. The premier of Ontario put housing above everything else on this planet and acts like he could care less about anything but building houses and highways we don’t need. What we need in the province of Ontario and across this entire planet actually is environmental assessments continuing to happen. The premier has pretty much gutted, environmental protections that this province has maintained until he came into the office. Also, the endangered species act was gutted by him than his government recently. Where is it going to stop? All in the name of housing Mr. Premier???
Well, what about the rest of the things that the people of Ontario care about? Like our endangered species.? like our conservation authorities? You can’t consolidate conservation authorities the way you’re planning on because that’s not what the people of Ontario want.
What we want who is the continued protection of our individual conservation authorities in this province. Please reconsider putting this bill into effect because there are many people who I’ve spoken to who oppose it.
