While in principle I am in favor of streamlining processes and getting rid of roadblocks and redundant regulations, harmonizing regulations at different levels, I am VERY concerned about the process in which it will be decided which regulations are redundant. What will be the criteria? Will we be looking at the interests of the environment and of the future generations, or those of the big money? We need the input of experts in each field, those who understand the why-s and the how-s of their respective fields, and we need to come to decisions that serve the interest of everyone, not just the top 1%.
