As a resident of Hamilton, I am opposed to this very flawed proposal and bill 68. At a time when we are already facing the risks of climate change and extreme weather, we should be providing our CAs with more resources to do their work and help restore nature and ensure we don’t build in floodplains and over wetlands. We should not be consolidating and stripping away power. This is not going to be more efficient or help increase housing building. It is going to result in a loss of local expertise and input, raise local costs, and facilitate development in environmentally sensitive areas like wetlands, significant woodlands and the Greenbelt.
