I feel that the existing conservation authorities have been doing an excellent job as they are, combining them will strain resources and have a negative effect on their ability to protect our natural areas and watersheds. These area also provide valuable income through recreation, tourism, sports fishing camping and more - If their ability to properly manage the areas they oversee is hindered because the area becomes too large, it could negatively impact the tourism/recreation industry. Not to mention it could weaken environmental protections required to maintain our natural ecosystems - as once they are destroyed, it is difficult to bring them back.
