We share a fence line with an NPCA conservation area, and daily interact with the park, it's staff and see the unique educational experiences they offer to local students and all residents in the area. What is needed in a conservation area in Lincoln is entirely different than what is needed in more metropolitan areas. In particular, Balls Falls with it's unique flora and fauna and extensive watershed areas is best understood and stewarded by local authorities that understand the uniqueness of the escarpment ecosystem.

We are deeply concerned about this proposal to amalgamate our parks into such a large area with such a diversity of needs. We stand firmly behind the NPCA and their excellent care and management of the local parks, and strongly object to this proposal that would remove local authority and influence over the areas we live in, and our children play and learn in.

Please reject this proposal, and allow locals to retain full autonomy as the provide guardianship for our local land and watersheds.

Thank You
