With great respect, the proposal to merge the Lakehead Regional Conservation Authority with Lake Huron is misguided. I grew up in Kitchener near the Grand river. Our family now resides on the shore of Lake Superior. The issues confronting the watersheds are massively different. The distance from Lake Huron watershed will create a daily barrier to the accessible and thoughtful management that LRCA delivers to protect the Lake Superior Watershed.
Please pause and re-think this idea. It is a relatively pristine cold water fishery, and must be protected.
Thank you for considering our opinion.
Yours truly,
A person who loves what the Lakehead Authority protects.
