Bigger is NOT better. We have seen that in so many instances - from corporations (with little competition) to health care to education to governments with a majority rule and no pushback from concerned politicians or residents.
Even the analogy, "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" works. Every organization needs a little work and can be improved with constructive feedback and time - but not if it is pushed through with no thought and that apart to be case here.
Each current conservation authority is unique because each area is unique and benefits from tge long established expertise governing it.
We want our wetlands, waterways, and farmland to be maintained and not industrialized and polluted. We want our animals, birds and fish to be healthy populations and in their own habitat - not pushed out , struggling and suffering.
Leave the Conservation Authorities as they are - do not merge.
Thank you
