What do you see as key factors to support a successful transition and outcome of regional conservation authority consolidation? There are no factors that could affect a positive outcome if conservation regions area made bigger. Recent history in all parts of the world, including Ontario, Canada, has proven again and again that making regions larger causes sharply reduced positive impact on local "whatever" - put "watersheds" in place of whatever in this case.

What opportunities or benefits may come from a regional conservation authority framework? NOne

Do you have suggestions for how governance could be structured at the regional conservation authority level, including suggestions around board size, make-up and the municipal representative appointment process? I think the structure was working well before the Doug Ford government diminished it's power by removing funding and scope of authority, and knee-capped it's ability to effect its priorities - thus making the authorities appear to be not doing their function. Very shady indeed, Mr. Ford et al.

Do you have suggestions on how to maintain a transparent and consultative budgeting process across member municipalities within a regional conservation authority? Hahahaha!!! Can Doug Ford and his gang actually do anything transparently? Everything he does, he does for his cronies. He uses my taxes to fund developers' wish lists.

How can regional conservation authorities maintain and strengthen relationships with local communities and stakeholders? No. I have worked for a provincial government and the bigger (as in, regional) the less effective the governing body is, the lines of communication are too long. Those at the far end of the communication network end up being disenfranchised and stepped on.
