In reading about this, there is data that said that a very low percentage (about 7%) of costs comes from the provincial coffers to keep all the districts operating. That is Ontario tax dollars well spent. Until there is solid verified cost-benefit analysis released please stop this consolidation.
Also, as an example, it just doesn’t make sense to mesh areas of Thunder Bay and Grey Bruce together, due to different ecosystems. If even slightly.
Please leave the control of each district to its own.
