Conservation authorities are one of Ontario’s best tools for balancing the province’s urgent essential services with watershed protection, flood protection, climate resilience, and sustainable development.
Watershed decisions should be based on science, geography, and local hydrology, not on overly large administrative boundaries.
The proposed consolidated regions are too large to remain effective and responsive to local needs.
